Since its humble beginning as a monthly market with a handful of dedicated growers and producers - and an equally dedicated base of shoppers - the Market has grown to a twice monthly event with a full line-up of veggies, meat, dairy and prepared foods, as well as hand crafted soaps and more. In 2011 it was decided to expand the market and Magnolia's Peddlers Green Craft Market was established. It was held on the first & third Sunday of the month from 11:00 am till 3:00p.m. In September of 2012, we decided to combine both Markets and change the name to Sweet Magnolia Pickins, The Farmers and Artisans Market. The market is now held every first and third Sunday of the month from 11:00 am till 3:00p.m. at the intersection of FMs 1488 and 1774. With the support of the greater Magnolia community, it continues to grow and to offer local residents a fresher, higher quality, local option to the industrial food system and a chance to buy one of a kind hand made products from local artists around the area. The strength of this market is a testament to the strength of the Magnolia community. Announcements9-26-12 We have changed the name of the Market to 'Sweet Magnolia Pickins, the Farmers & Artisans Market and moved it to the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Please check out our calendar for specific dates. Please have patience with me as I try to combine both the markets in getting the web pages updated. 7-21-12 Please help us to save our markets by signing our petition. 6-9-12 I apologize for not keeping the website updated more often. Things have been really crazy and then I fell and broke 3 ribs in 4 places.
